Bigg Blue Farm was founded in 2009 as a small market vegetable producer to supply fresh local produce to the Kansas City metropolitan area. The farm was started with the passion for growing things and the idea of improving the food source in our community. We at Bigg Blue Farm are concerned about the about of chemicals that are found in most of our food today. The food found in our grocery stores consists of highly-processed corn and soy-based products, that are shipped from miles away. Foods containing who knows what? All sorts of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and added preservatives. Waxed coated vegetables that we have to scrub off before eating. We believe these practices are not a healthy lifestyle for us and our children.
